The small nick in your HT does not have any effect on frame longevity, headset installation or performance. The small nick in your HT occurred after this frame left the Moots factory. One possible cause would be by dropping the HT onto the floor during final assembly or painting, neither of which was performed by Moots.
If the frame is collectable or not, or worthy of a silver headbadge are questions only you can answer.
